ATC Awarded Supplier Self Release Status by Baker Hughes

Lyndhurst, NJ, April 8, 2015—Supplier Self Release (SSR) status was awarded to the ATC Industrial Supply Chain (ISC) facility in Houston, by Baker Hughes.

The Baker Hughes SSR is a rigorous audit process required of suppliers in order to release parts without the need to undergo receipt inspection. This improves throughput for Baker Hughes, and reduces inspection costs—while still receiving high quality products.

SSR status is awarded to select, critical suppliers who can achieve the Baker Hughes standard. It requires a significant effort that includes scrutiny of quality, operations, procurement, and order management to ensure that processes are in place to eliminate errors throughout the entire fulfillment chain.

In addition, company training programs and facilities are examined to ensure the critical process areas are suitably supported.
